Understanding what Rheumatism is:
The term rheumatism encompasses more than 100 different diseases. Many people think of rheumatism when they feel muscle and/or tendon pain. Others talk about articular diseases. Actually, modern rheumatology does not bother that much about classifying rheumatism. In general, the main rheumatic diseases are: chronic arthritis in childhood, rheumatoid arthritis, arthrosis, lower back pain, elbow and/or knee pain, growing pains, rheumatic fever, myalgia, gout, erythematous systemic lupus, Reiter's syndrome, vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, among others. One of the most painful kinds of rheumatism is rheumatoid arthritis, the development of which may lead to the complete immobilization of the joints, thus causing irreparable damage.
Apitoxin:
Apitoxin is the protein component of the venom of bees, which is their chemical way of defending themselves against predators, or their territory against intruders. Hippocrates, Tacitus and Pliny had already described the medicinal effects of apitoxin, when Paracelsus defined the difference between poison and medicine as simply a question of dosage.
How and why REUMATEX works:
Reumatex works as an anti-inflammatory, thus relieving pain. Its direct effects are felt quickly and intensely, both on the skin and the joints. Furthermore, it powerfully stimulates the patients' immune, hormonal, emotional and energetic systems, by increasing their healing abilities, “destabilizing” their diseases and giving them new chances at recovery. Reumatex is proven to be effective in cases of articular and non-articular rheumatic diseases.
There are many hypotheses about the therapeutic effects of the apitoxin, the main active principle of Reumatex, yet major scientific evidence points to the fact that apitoxin raises the levels of cortisol in the plasma. Since this steroid hormone is produced by the body itself, it can therefore stimulate the recovery process by attacking the very roots of the disease. |
Product Packing:
Reumatex is a massage cream that can deeply penetrate the skin, and comes in 50g plastic tubes. Reumatex also contains polyethylene microspheres that scarify the skin, in order to enhance the absorption of its components.
Suggested Usage:
Reumatex may be applied - always under intense massage - either upon acupuncture (or shiatsu) points or on the affected parts. After said procedure, we recommend that the area be kept warm by the use of plastic bandages or thermal bags.
Contraindications:
Apiotherapy using apitoxin is contraindicated for patients who are hypersensitive to bee venom. A way of assessing this sensitivity is to apply a small amount of the product on the person's forearm. Should an immediate reaction occur, like itching, pain or any other discomfort, discontinue its use and inform your physician.
It is also contraindicated for: individuals with histories of cardiac, renal or pulmonary insufficiency; patients who have undergone transplant surgeries and must take drugs against rejection; people with acute, unstable diseases or chronic, systemic infections; insulin-dependent diabetics; individuals bearing cirrhosis; and routine users of beta-blockers.
In such cases, if you ever decide on this treatment, calculating risks is advised. The patient must be sufficiently informed and carefully monitored by a responsible apiotherapist
Warning:
Do not apply Reumatex directly to your eyes. If contact with the eyes accidentally occurs, wash them with plenty of water and seek medical attention. |
